Halo Technical Comfort System Hat, Black, 0-9 Months Review

We purchased several of this product because our three-month old baby has sensitive skin (craddle cap and eczema). We live in a place with bitter winters and humid summers, so like that the product can be used year-round. The SPF rating is a plus for the summer. Based on our first few days of usage, here’s what we or dislike:

Strengths:
- Aestheteically pleasing. Colors are just like the ones in the pictures.
- Easy to wash and take care of – it doesn’t appear that the cloth will stick to things or pick up lint. Cloth is strechable as well.

Potential Issues:
- The hat is especially large for a younger baby, and could end up covering his/her nose. The manufacturer probably designed it in this manner on purpose since it’s meant for a 0-9 month old. Our baby has a tendency to move his hands and head. Despite folding the hat, it does sometimes roll down close to his nose. We watch for this or don’t put the hat on him when he sleeps.
- I know the manufacturer says the hat stays warm in the winter, but it’s hard to believe. The cloth seems pretty thin. We’re using them right now and we’ll see how it goes

As a close, if this product does everything the manufacturer says it does, then it will be great. I wish they had some data to prove their claims. Either way, it’s not too expensive so we’ve purchased it. I have not noticed a difference in our baby’s caddlecap/eczema, but it has only been a day or two.
